What happens at our concerts

Concert format

If you are new to classical music concerts and are unsure when to clap, just follow the rest of the audience! In the unlikely event that no-one realises that the piece has ended, the performers will make a dramatic gesture to ensure there is no doubt!

Concerts have two halves, typically 40-50 minutes each, with an interval of 15-20 minutes in the middle: concert total duration is thus typically up to to 2 hours.

Currently, refreshments are not available in the interval but we encourage concert-goers to bring their own drinks.

Accessibility

Accessibility

Wheelchair and disabled access to the concert venue is available.  For assistance, we will be very happy to help. Please contact the sales desk in the foyer.

There is a wheelchair-accessible toilet.

There is a hearing loop system in the church.

Programmes

We produce printed programmes for most concerts: they are packed with valuable information about the artists, composers and the works being performed, and they cost £1.
